MUSC 683 - Jazz Pedagogy This course is designed to prepare students to teach all aspects of a jazz curriculum including arranging, theory, history, improvisation and managing various ensembles, including rehearsal techniques and such. A review of teaching strategies, methods, and available materials is conducted. Basic Computer technologies for the creation of teaching materials is included. Each student will rehearse with a UArts ensemble. Outreach activities with area public schools will be developed. Formerly MU 516
Prerequisites & Notes Open to majors in the School of Music only. Restricted to students enrolled in graduate programs.
