DANC 312 Open Studio: Aerial Dance College of Performing Arts
1 credit 22.5 hours 300 level undergraduate course
This class will introduce and teach aerial dance techniques and may include such apparatuses as: silk, trapeze, hoop, harnesses and rigging. Students will explore climbing, leg locks, and a variety of skills and vocabulary. Classes may include conditioning exercises, targeting the core strength and musculature needed for lifting and sustaining bodies in the air. Repertory will be built, taught or created on or by the students.
Priority enrollment to majors in the School of Dance. This course may be completed 2 times for credit.
