FAPR 204 - Screenprint/Etching

The graphic qualities of expression in screenprinting and etching/intaglio are presented through historic and contemporary examples and demonstration of the methods, which convey ideas in these two media. Various stencil processes from direct-drawn to photographic and computer-generated are explored in screenprinting with water-based opaque and transparent inks. Handwork on the metal plate includes drawn drypoint, etching, and tonal processes. Emphasis is placed on the understanding of the qualities of these methods and development of personal ideas through their combination. Formerly PR 204
