FNDP 101 - Sketching and Drawing

This course provides individuals who are not majoring in the visual arts with the basic skills required to represent the form of simple objects and the presence of space on a two-dimensional surface. No prior drawing experience or portfolio of work is required to enroll in this course. The class includes instruction in the basics of linear perspective using both optical and diagrammatic methods. In-class projects focus on fundamental principles, while homework assignments support the students as they develop the ability to sketch and draw, and think and plan, using manual drawing tools and materials.
