LAAH 111 - Art History Survey I


A survey of Western visual arts and architecture from the earliest extant examples, cave painting and sculpture from Austrian and southern Europe, to the arts of the Renaissance in Europe in the fourteenth-fifteenth centuries. Students will be asked to visit and do research on the art in local museums and galleries in order to gain a foundation for the work from their textbook, and asked to place, evaluate, and comprehend the history of the world in which many of them make their art. Prerequisites & Notes
Enrollment in BS, BFA, or BM degree program required. Successful completion of LACR 009 or LACR 100 where required as a result of English placement exam.
