LAAH 831 - American Art Since 19453 credits In 1945, World War II ended and the focus of modern art shifted from Paris to New York City. The course begins with Abstract Expressionism; studies other major American styles, such as pop art and minimalism; and concludes with post-modernist development such as performance and decoration by artists. Graduate students may register for this course under GRLA 631.
