STMU 272 Wagner and the Ring CycleDivision of Liberal Arts

An in-depth study of Wagnerian Opera with special emphasis on the four operas that constitute the Ring Cycle. Lectures and discussions cover libretti, harmonic idiom, staging, and symbolism.
Prerequisites FYWT*112 or FYWT*101;
This course is not repeatable for credit.
This course can fulfill an art history elective, liberal arts elective, or free elective requirement.
