DACP 363 Improvisation Performance PracticeCollege of Performing Arts School of Dance
1 credit 30.0 hours 300 level undergraduate course
This class develops and deepens concepts of Improvisation by continuing to delve into solo explorations and Contact Improvisation, while introducing new forms such as Authentic Movement. Students will hone their skills in the art of real time choreography as both director and performer. Site-specific projects may be undertaken to broaden the investigative pallet. Projects in this class will emanate from the instructor or from individual or groups of students working collaboratively. Journals will be kept as an important self-reflection element of the class. Musings on structures, performances and automatic writing will be explored.
Prerequisites DACP*164
This course is not repeatable for credit.
