AHST 284 History of PhotographyDivision of Liberal Arts
3 credits 45.0 hours 200 level undergraduate course
An introduction to the significant photographers and their work in the history of the medium, including technical developments and their impact, the major visual and aesthetic trends in the development of photography and their relationship to art in general, and the larger social context in which photography has developed.
Prerequisites FYWT*101 or FYWT*112
Priority enrollment to Photography majors. This course is not repeatable for credit. This course can fulfill an art history elective, liberal arts elective, or free elective requirement.
