A survey of lyric poetry, with particular emphasis on a single period or a group of poets, e.g., Walt Whitman, Emily Dickinson, Wallace Stevens, Allen Ginsberg, Sylvia Plath, and the English Romantics.

This course is not repeatable for credit.
