PHIL 214 Introduction to Aesthetics and Art TheoryDivision of Liberal Arts
3 credits 45.0 hours 200 level undergraduate course
A selective survey of the development of modern aesthetics from the late 18th century to postmodernism with special emphasis whenever possible in the influence of theory and artistic practice (e.g. Jeff Wail, the films of Eric Rohmer, Danto, and Warhol).
Prerequisites FYWT*101 or FYWT*112
This course is not repeatable for credit. This course can fulfill a liberal arts elective or free elective requirement.
