THST 101 Acting Studio I

This course is an introduction to the actor’s professional process, with an emphasis on imagination, concentration and collaboration as necessary foundations. Spontaneity and improvisation anchor early investigations into given circumstances and character objectives, encouraging experimentation in the actor’s creative process. Students apply techniques to a variety of work for the stage, including improvisational exercises, etudes, compositions, and contemporary scripted material.

Acting & Musical Theater majors only.
This course is not repeatable for credit.
