Musical Theater Dance is magic! Musical theatre dance is a wonderful umbrella term for the vast amount of styles offered within the theatre spectrum. Within this two week course, we will touch upon the various styles of dance offered in the musical theatre cannon. Students will learn to understand their bodies and how to move them through space. Students will develop technical skill and artistry through the construction and execution of movements, isolations, positions, steps, warm ups, conditioning techniques, and flexibility exercises. Students will gain an understanding of body placement and the different plains in which the body moves.
