LAPR 850 - Aesthetics An introduction to the philosophy of art. After a brief examination of analytic philosophical methods and the history of aesthetics, we consider some of the fundamental problems in aesthetics, such as the intention of the artist, the physical object/aesthetic object distinction, and the nature and comparison of different kinds of media.
