Description
The Graduate Certificate in Educational Technology explores theories, principles, and practices of educational technology that are transforming classrooms into modern learning environments. Our courses emphasize the use of technology in the classroom to enrich instruction, assessment, and curriculum and student enhance learning across learning styles.
This Certificate is designed for in-service teachers. Courses may also fulfill requirements within MEd in Educational Program Design and MEd in Educational Technology.
Program Objectives
Students in the Graduate Certificate in Educational Technology will:
- Explore the role of educational technology in the classroom
- Develop fluency with assessment technologies
- Explain how educational technology can be used to enhance student learning
- Explore what it means to be a “digital learner” in today’s classroom
- Utilize educational technologies to differentiate instruction for diverse learners
- Identify and target online instructional resources
- Create varied and engaging lessons using technology
- Evaluate emerging educational technologies
