Description

At the heart of the ceramics minor is thinking through making. Ceramics students are passionate about working with their hands. By engaging with material and process they discover the ideas and concepts that underlie their art. Technical instruction is balanced with investigation of meaning and content. Work produced ranges from ceramic art to functional pottery to experimental/new genres. Students experience personal control of all aspects of making, from initial design to final finished piece.
