|
The Photography minor stresses a fine-art approach to photography. It provides the basics of black-and-white as well as color photography and digital imaging. The emphasis is placed on gaining experience in a wide range of pictorial photographic applications. Once a student has mastered basic photographic technique, materials and processes that are used to manipulate photographic imagery are explored. Creativity and personal expression are emphasized in all of these courses.
- Photography majors may not declare a Photography minor.
- Students must meet eligibility requirements, which may include a satisfactory grade point average, prerequisites, and departmental portfolio review.
- Intent to complete a minor is declared by filing the completed Minor Declaration Form with the Office of the Registrar. The forms are available in the Office of the Registrar.

- Generally, no substitutions to the minor requirements are allowed. The minor advisor may grant a substitution only in exceptional situations.
- The requirements of the minor must be completed prior to graduation.
- Completing a minor may require a student to take more than the minimum number of credits necessary to earn the undergraduate degree in order to complete the minor.
