MAFL 201 - Introduction to Film I
A hands-on introduction to the principles and techniques of media production: shooting 16mm film, developing a sensitivity to the nuances of movement, understanding lighting and exposure, composition, and the logic of editing. We also survey the historical and aesthetic development of the medium in order to expand the students’ sense of the possibilities of the medium. Formerly PF 210A
Prerequisites & Notes
Priority enrollment to Media Arts majors, Film/Digital Video minors. Not recommended for Foundation students.
